Low Ceiling
After taking a short vacation to Long Beach in Washington, my wife and I stopped in Astoria for lunch. The heavy cloud cover left a low ceiling over these ocean-going ships anchored in the Columbia. Where I grew up back east, we’d start building an ark with clouds like these, but they aren’t too unusual for November weather here in the Northwest. And they don’t bring the torrential downpours their image might evoke.
