Yellowstone was the first National Park in America and remains one of the most popular due to its geothermal features and abundant widlife, especially the large mammals like bear, bison, and elk. These pictures are from my four visits to Yellowstone during the summer of 2004 and the fall of 2005, 2006, and 2007.
| While best known for its mammals, Yellowstone is also home to a variety of birds. | Mammals are one of the calling cards of the park, with a large variety of large mammals that can often be seen from the road. | ||
| Mammoth Hot Springs is one of my favorite places in Yellowstone, not only is it a great place to watch elk but the hot springs themselves provide a fantastic array of colors and textures. | Yellowstone is a huge park and Mammoth Hot Springs isn't the only place with beauty to offer. |
